Day 9

It took about 2 hours to Shaolin temple. Along the way there were so many empty buildings were built but incomplete, the construction still goes on. It's a lost investment, now called the ghost city. I think it's a massive over supply, and over value. There are over 64 million empty buildings in china. It just makes the GDP grow. The Chinese government can dictate where the resources are spend. But they forgot that it is not the quantity that matters, it's the quality that matters most. I think it's going to be a large problem for China, millions of expensive empty homes and millions of Chinese who can't afford them.

Shaolin Temple originated and developed in the Buddhist temple. It was the birthplace of martial art. It was pouring rain, but the view from the entrance was beautiful. We saw an incredible performance of authentic martial arts. We went to the Buddhist temple and saw where the monks used to practice their Kung Fu. I wish we had more time to spend at the temple, instead of waiting for two hours at the train station.

The vegetarian food was great, very plain and light.
