Day 10
Mount Tai is a perfect combination of culture and a natural landscape, it is known as one of the four great mountains in China. It is a sacred mountain in eastern China, the first place in the country to see the sun rise. Dai temple was created for the god of Mount Tai, the god of Mount Tai is believed to preside over human lifespan. There are about 7000 stone stairs which runs 9 kilometers to the summit. People come here to pray for a long life and the well-being of their family. The view from the bottom was speechless. We didn’t climb it, instead we took the lift up to the top of the mountain. Once we got of rhe lift we couldn’t see much because it was foggy, I felt like I was walking through a cloud which was very relaxing, and peaceful. We saw poem inscription on a rock, Du fu said “One climbed onto the top of Mt. Tai, all other mountains are outweighed into hills”. We went to the original Dai Temple and me and my friends got to pray and tie the red ribbon. Mount Tai is one of my favorite places in China.
