I was amazed at how modern Shanghai is, population is 24 million people. There a lot going on in the city, there more modern than historic city. One of the most expensive city. There are futuristic sky scrapers in downtown such as pearl tower and the highest building in Shanghai.
We visited Lujiazhui, largest financial and trade zone in China. Oriental Peal TV Tower has 15 observatory levels, 468 meter high. One of the level we visited is 263 meters high, it has a transparent floor and a panoramic view of shanghai and it absolutely stunning.
We went to Lu Xun's house but it was close due to reconstruction. We learned in class about Lux Xun 1881-1936 a leading figure of modern Chinese literature. He was a short story writer translator, literary critic essayist and poet. His short story such as Medicine, Ah Q, Kong I- chi ect... were mostly about the distressed by social and political disaster during his time.
